DAY 1 – SHIMLA
Scenic journey uphill : Check out early in the morning to board Shatabdi train departing for Kalka from New Delhi railway station at 0740 hrs. It’s is a modern train equipped with state of the art facilities for a very comfortable journey. Morning tea and breakfast will be served on board. On reaching Kalka by 1200 hrs you will take a toy train to chug uphill to Shimla through a very picturesque route. This toy train is about a century old and it passes through a good 103 tunnels and over numerous old bridges on its way to Shimla.

On reaching there you check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 2 – SHIMLA 
The Summer Capital of Colonial India : The day is for the local sightseeing of the city where the signs of British rule over India are still well preserved. Visit the Christ Church, Indian Institute of Advanced studies (former Viceregal Lodge), Jakhu temple and other places of interest.

Evening free to stroll on the stylish mall road.

DAY 3 – SHIMLA >PRAGPUR (220 km / 5 hrs)
Heritage village : After breakfast drive out to reach Pragpur – the first classified heritage village of India that had been established about 3 centuries ago.

DAY 4 – PRAGPUR
Rendezvous with Indian culture : The whole day is for you to take a feel of the Indian heritage and culture that is so well preserved in this quaint town. Walk through the orchards and gardens, taste the authentic Himachali cuisine, ramble through the cobble stoned lanes and by lanes observing the ornamental village tank, mud plastered and slate roofed houses.

DAY 5PRAGPUR > MC LEODGANJ(upper Dharamshala(70 km / 2 hrs)

The Little Lhasa : Drive towards Mc Leodganj, a town checkered with a number of Tibetan rehabilitations and educational centers. En route you will see the Jwalaji temple, one of the 51 shaktipeeths (seat of power) in India. The nine eternal flames in the temple are worshipped as manifestation of Goddess Shakti.

Mc Leodganj is also the official residence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama – spiritual leader of Tibetans. With monks all around this place seems to be a little Lhasa.

DAY 6 – MC LEODGANJ(Upper Dharamshala)
Residence of the Dalai Lama : The sightseeing list for the day includes a visit to St John Church, Bhagsunag temple, Namgyal monastery, Norbulinka institute – an endeavour to keep the Tibetan arts alive and Masrur, the proud owner of the only rock cut temples in North India.

The evening is free to ramble around in the town to absorb the most of its culture.

DAY 7 – MC LEODGANJ>DALHOUSIE(143 km/4 hrs)
Cool retreat : Drive towards Dalhousie, yet another hill station established by the British rule in India. You will see here the colonial churches, Bakrota hills, Kalatope viewpoint and other places of interest.

Evening is free for leisure activities.

DAY 8 – NATURE’S BOUNTY
Tour end: This last day of the tour is kept for an excursion to Khajjiar and Chamba. The major attractions here are the ancient temples including the Laxmi Narayan temple and the un spoilt beauty of the place.In the evening you will drive towards Pathankot to board the train for Delhi.
