Amazingly caparisoned elephants, the symbol of strength, take the center stage – elephant parades, elephant races, elephant polo matches, elephant beauty pageant and elephant vs. man tug-of-war. The Royal Chaugan stadium of Jaipur is the setting for this spectacular jamboree that culminates with colorful melee created by throwing of flowers and colors at each other to celebrate the festival of spring, Holi,. Folk songs, music, dances, camels, and horses complete the patchwork.
