DAY 1 – Colombo
Welcome to the island Country Sri Lanka : You will be recieved on arrival at the airport and transfered to the hotel for some rest.

Colombo, the commercial capital of Sri Lanka is a fast developing metropolis that still retains its old-world charm. Modern sky scrappers stand in contrast to British built colonial buildings. The clock tower of the city is now over a 100 years old. Other places of interest are the old parliament in Fort, residential areas, the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall – BMICH. You can spend the evening shopping in the town. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 2 – Colombo > Kandy (115 km / 2.5 – 3 hrs)

Sri Lanka’s cultural capital : Drive to Kandy after your morning breakfast. En route visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela. It houses nearly 60 elephants, out of which many are baby elephants found, abandoned or orphaned. It is regarded as the biggest herd of captive elephants in the world. It is exciting to see them bathing but there is nothing like seeing the baby elephants being bottle-fed.

Check in at Hotel. In the evening visit the  Dalada Temple (that houses Lord Buddha’s tooth). In the evening relax watching a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 3 – Kandy 
A world heritage site : After breakfast, you do the city. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings.It is a repository of legends, traditions and folklores. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala King, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1806. Visit the arts & crafts center, a gem museum, and a lapidary. In the evening visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. It was meant to be a pleasure garden for a Sinhala King and later was expanded by the British. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 4 – Kandy > Nuwara Eliya (77 km / 3 hrs)

‘City of Light’ : After breakfast, proceed to Nuwara Eliya. On the way visit a tea plantation and a tea factory. Learn all about the process of manufacturing and grading of tea. In the end you get to taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the factory.

Check in at the hotel . In the evening do a city tour. Over looked by Mt. Pidurutalagala (8282 feet), highest peak of Sri Lanka, Nuwara Eliya is country’s premier hill town. It is said to produce 50% of the world’s best tea. Nuwara-Eliya also has one of the finest 18-hole golf courses in South Asia. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 5 – Nuwara eliya > kalutara (259 Km / 7 Hrs)
Former spice trading centre : After breakfast, proceed to Kalutara via Kitulgala, the shooting site of the famous film ‘Bridge on the River Kwai’. En route see the waterfalls at St. Clare’s and Devon. Overnight stay at a beach resort here.

DAY 6 – Kalutara

Sun, Sea and Sand: The day is free to explore the place on your own or enjoy the facilities of the Hotel. You can visit the Kalutara Vihar, the only hollow Buddhist stupa of the world. For your information, the place is known for its bamboo baskets & mats and finest tasting Mangosteens (kind of fruit). Overnight stay at the resort .

DAY 7 – Kalutara > International airport (71 km / 2 hrs)
Tour ends : After breakfast you will be dropped at the airport for your flight home.
